Our story began in 1988 when founder Harry Meekma recognized the need to help families preserve their belongings after property damage, launching Custom Commercial in California’s Bay Area.
As the restoration industry evolved, so did our vision. Major disaster events, including California’s devastating Oakland Hills Fire, highlighted the growing need for specialized contents restoration services that could help families recover irreplaceable belongings rather than simply replace them.
In response, we expanded our capabilities and developed innovative processes for textiles, electronics, and personal content, the foundation of what would become FRSTeam.
In 2006, we launched the FRSTeam franchise system to bring our proven model to communities across North America. Since then, we’ve continued to grow alongside our franchise owners, investing in training, technology, and operational support to build a national network focused on helping customers recover from loss of any size.
